Light Work: Studio Basics Workshop is a hands-on experience designed for photographers, content creators, aspiring assistants, and creatives who want to better understand how a studio functions. Whether you’re stepping into a studio for the first time or looking to become more comfortable around professional equipment and workflow, this workshop breaks down the tools, terminology, and environment in a practical and approachable way.
This isn’t a lecture.
This is real studio practice.
Participants will learn:
The purpose and proper use of common studio equipment
How to safely and confidently work with C-stands, sandbags, V-flats, apple boxes, grip equipment, and modifiers
Basic studio setup and workflow practices
Studio etiquette and on-set awareness
How professional studios stay organized, efficient, and collaborative
How to move more confidently and intentionally in a studio environment
Throughout the session, attendees will experience live demonstrations, hands-on equipment interaction, and practical breakdowns designed to make studio spaces feel less intimidating and more accessible.
